The Valuation of Mining and Domestic Assets of Mines
The Policy Council functions as the advisory and consultative body to the Board of Directors and the executive organs of the Institute. The Chairperson of the Policy Council shall be appointed subsequent to the introduction of the Board of Directors, followed by the designation of the remaining members. This Council is responsible for presenting all its bylaws and proposals pertaining to the development of the Institute to the Board of Directors and, where applicable, to the General Assembly. Members of the Council may consist of either natural persons or legal entities (representatives of organizations and associations).
Head of the Policy Council
Mr. Bahman Rashidi Senior Economic Geologist With over 26 years of experience in geosciences and mineral exploration, he has collaborated with a diverse range of mining companies across various stages of exploration and project development. His expertise spans Australia, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, South America, and Europe. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in the discovery of multiple world-class deposits. His specialties include: - Designing and supervising exploration programs, - QA/QC audits, - Peer reviews, - Technical due diligence, - Reporting on exploration projects, - International estimation of metal and industrial mineral resources/reserves compliant with JORC and NI 43-101 standards, - Mineral asset valuationas a Competent Person (CP). Professional Affiliations: - Member of the Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (AusIMM), - Registered Professional Geologist (RPGeo) with the Australian Institute of Geoscientists (AIG), - Member of the International Association for Promoting Geoethics (IAPG).
